Homes For Hope

As a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization, Homes for Hope operates within the building industry across the United States, uniting builders and their trade partners subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to build a “Home for Hope” (a benefit home) on a largely pro bono basis. Shawn Forth Custom Homes has partnered with Homes for Hope to build a home which will be sold to a homebuyer just like you, with the profits being dedicated to support HOPE International, to provide business training, savings services, and small loans to people living in poverty in 17 countries around the world.

If you view the statistics, we live in a world of seven billion people, an estimated 26 percent lives in extreme poverty on less than $1.25 per day. Many of them have the abilities and dreams necessary to break these chains of poverty, but without capital, they lack the opportunity to begin or grow a business so they can provide for their families. Through Christ-centered microenterprise development, HOPE International is empowering the poor to pursue their dreams using their own God-given abilities.

A great example of transformation is Beinvenida Nina, a single-mother of four daughters living in San Pedro, Dominican Republic. At the time of her 1st loan her family was living on less than $200US per month from a road-side Pica Pollo shop she ran, selling fried chicken to pedestrians. Through HOPE’s partner in the Dominican Republic, Esperanza International, Beinvenida was able to secure a loan to rent property and purchase inventory for her business. With this additional support, her efforts to expand her business were successful, and within 2 years of her first loan, her household income had increased to $2000US per month.

Beinvenida has used the profits from her business to send all of her children to school, provide nutritious food for her family, fund critical repairs and renovations to her home, and purchase medicine. She is now able to tithe to her church and hire members of her community to work at her Pico Pollo Shop.

Through this Home for Hope, it is our goal to help HOPE International in assisting 2,500 people grow their business and escape poverty. In order to do reach that goal and since our donation is tied to the property, we need to sell it as fast as possible! If you would like to get involved, we encourage you to donate to our project at www.homes4hope.org or help us sell the home by referring your friends!
